E. C. Rider grew up in an artistic family in the rural landscape of beautiful northern Michigan.  Since moving to Alaska he has been commisioned to create paintings for buyers in Oregon and Michigan as well as an 8 ft x 8 ft wall mural that currently hangs at Gold Miner Gifts in Talkeetna, Alaska.
